64-bit Internet Explorer Image Viewer Workaround

The 64-bit version of Internet Explorer currently does not support installation or operation of the image viewer plug-in.  If you are using a 64-bit browser and attempt to view an image, there will be no error, no prompt to install the viewer, only an empty window with no image.  This only applies to computers with the 64-bit version of Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed.

Currently, the only workaround is to use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer which is included as a part the affected 64-bit operating systems.

To determine if your current version of IE is 64-bit, use the About Internet Explorer menu to display IE Properties.

The image viewer plug-in will not install or operate in 64-bit Internet Explorer.

To start 32-bit Internet Explorer, from the Start Menu, select "Internet Explorer" instead of "Internet Explorer (64-bit)".  This will launch the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer that is compatible with the image viewer plug-in.
